A Good Kid Can Still Need More Support.

A young man may have tremendous potential while struggling with confidence, motivation, sadness, fear, school performance, poor decisions, peer pressure, the wrong crowd, or the absence of a consistent positive male role model.

Mentoring gives him a place to talk honestly, think through decisions, develop goals, build better habits, and receive guidance from an adult who will encourage him while also holding him accountable.

  • Motivation and work ethic

Why Mike Works With Young Men

Every Young Man Deserves a Trusted Adult in His Corner.

Mike is a father first. He knows what it is to want the best for a young person’s confidence, direction, and decisions — and how much it matters to have someone steady in their corner during those years.

Young men often have plenty of people telling them what they are doing wrong. What many of them need instead is another trusted adult willing to listen, ask honest questions, encourage them, and consistently hold them to a higher standard. That belief — built through years of leadership, mentoring, and community involvement — is why Forged Apex exists.

My goal is to help young men develop the confidence, character, discipline, and purpose they need to step into adulthood prepared to lead. Consistent effort, better decisions, and the right guidance can change what they believe is possible.

Mentoring With Clear Boundaries.

Parents and guardians remain responsible for the health, safety, medical care, education, and major decisions involving their child. Forged Apex will define communication expectations, meeting boundaries, consent requirements, and suitability before mentoring begins.

Important: Mentoring Is Not Licensed Therapy

Forged Apex Youth Mentoring provides mentorship, personal-development support, accountability, and leadership guidance. It is not therapy, counseling, mental-health treatment, crisis intervention, medical care, or a substitute for services provided by a licensed medical or mental-health professional.

Young people experiencing significant emotional distress, trauma, self-harm concerns, suicidal thoughts, substance dependency, abuse, or other clinical needs should receive support from an appropriately licensed professional. Forged Apex may decline or discontinue mentoring when a young person’s needs appear to fall outside the appropriate scope of mentorship.
