I didn’t study leadership from a textbook. I lived it — leading teams, owning businesses, and carrying real responsibility long before Forged Apex had a name.

I’m Mike Collins, and I’ve spent years leading teams, developing people, operating businesses, coaching owners, improving systems, and helping organizations turn problems into practical plans.

My background includes executive leadership, business ownership, the plumbing and home-services industry, operational improvement, leadership development, accountability, and performance coaching. But Forged Apex is not built on professional experience alone.

It is also shaped by my personal journey as a husband, father, mentor, and leader who has had to navigate pressure, uncertainty, difficult decisions, mistakes, growth, and the ongoing responsibility of becoming the man and leader I want to be.

People Often Need More Than Advice.

Information is everywhere. Books, podcasts, YouTube, and now an endless supply of AI-generated answers can all tell you what you should probably be doing. Knowledge is rarely the real problem.

What people often need instead is clarity, perspective, and honest challenge — someone willing to ask better questions, help them see what they cannot see on their own, and remain present while they take the next difficult step. That is different from information. It is structure, accountability, decision support, and consistent follow-through.

I created Forged Apex to provide that kind of support. My goal is not to tell you what you want to hear. It is to help you understand where you are, decide where you want to go, and build the confidence, discipline, and accountability needed to move forward — one honest conversation and one decision at a time.
